Rochester Contemporary Art Center, 6x6x2012 has started 6/2 - 7/15.
They are now selling online and they have sold 999 works already!
I checked on the site of the works there and found that 5 of my art works sold out of 9 and I am happy about it!!

My item numbers are #686 - #695.

Rochester 6x6x2012 has started!

6x6x2012 finally has on, since I sent them 6x6 works about a month ago. It is very excited to be on the show in Rochester New York all the way from Osaka Japan even it is an open call. Need some understanding and courage to send to overseas, but take it as a good opportunity and chance for my resume.

(Japanese) 6x6x2012　６月２日から始まりました。１ヶ月前位から作品送ってやっとという感じです。誰でも出せる展示なのですが、遠く大阪からニューヨークのグループ展に送るのはやはりエキサイティングです。英語だし、アメリカ独自のアートの関わり方なので、（日本とは違う）アメリカに応募するのは少し理解や勇気がいる事です。でも履歴にとってもいいし、いい機会だと思います。

June 2 - July 15, 2012 Global Online Preview Begins: May 25 @10am In Gallery Preview: May 30, 31 & June 1, 1-10pm Opening Reception & Artwork Sale: Sat. June 2, 6-10pm      $5 opening night admission      7:30pm raffle for buyer position #1-20      8:00pm all other buyers Global Online Purchasing Begins: June 5 at 10am Sold Out Artists' Names Revealed to Public: July 6 Purchased Artwork Pick-Up: July 15 - 17, 1-7pm RPO Bravo Award: All entries are eligible. Rochester Contemporary Art Center's (RoCo), international small art phenomenon returns with 7,300+ original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, college students, youths, and YOU. Each artwork must be 6x6 square inches (15cm) or mounted to a 6x6 board, and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. All entries will be accepted, exhibited and will be for sale to the public for $20 each (in the gallery and online for global purchasing) to benefit RoCo. Artist names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks remain on display through July 15, 2012. Sold Out artists' names will be revealed next to their work online on July 6. Anyone could enter up to 10 artworks of any medium (2D or 3D) and there was no fee to enter. Preregistration: Beat the Crowds! Call or Stop by RoCo during normal office hours or 6x6x2012 Preview Hours (May 30, 31 & June 1, 1-10pm) to preregister for purchasing 6x6 Artworks. Preregistering is like having an "Open Tab" and RoCo will keep your credit card on file making Artwork purchase faster and easier during the busy opening reception weekend. Registration lines on opening night (June 2) can be very long and may prohibit you from getting your favorite artwork. Pregistration is highly recommended! Opening Night Raffle for Buyer Positions 1-20 If you would like to achieve an early buyer position to improve your chances of selecting your favorite artworks, you may enter a raffle for buyer position #1 - 20. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on May 30, 31, June 1 & 2 for $5 each. On June 2nd at 7:30 buyer position #1 will be selected from the raffle bin and the winner will have 1 minute to mark their artwork purchases. Buyer position #2 is then drawn, announced, and the winner will have 1 minute to select their artwork purchases before buyer position #3 is announced, etc. Buyer position #1 may continue to select artworks after buyer position #2 is called, and so on. One minute after buyer position #20 is announced "3, 2, 1, GO!" will be announced and all other buyers will be allowed to make their selections. Stickers (dots) for selecting your chosen artworks must be purchased ($20 each) prior to the start of the raffle. Cash or Check Please! We expect opening night (Sat. June 2, 6-10pm) to be a very busy event. In order to register your 6x6 purchases as quickly as possible and limit your wait time (we will have several more lines this year), we ask that you pay with cash or check if possible. Please note that we do accept all major credit cards, however paying with check or cash will be slightly faster on opening night.

Just looked at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center site, the site has count down time clock and it will be 12 days for Opening and Art work sales, and 14 days for Global online purchasing. It is very excited to be part of the show and contribute my works there from Japan.

Painting - "Bottles"

I just added my painting on my artist sites.
Here this is a quick painting of a study of abstract still life. My teacher said I needed to totally abstract the shape and all that not able to tell what they were. But I still like it myself though.

Close UP Glasses

I just added new works on my art sites.
This work is called Close Up Glasses, just as so, that depict my own glasses as abstract expressionism style. Like moving my brushes in motion along with my state of feeling like unconscious painting. (^_~)

photobook

CanonのPhotopressoというphotobook作成サイトで作品集を作りました。
現在公開／販売しています！

まだ作品はすべてアーチストサイトで編集していなく全ての作品の画像がそろっていないのですが、お見せできるものを選んでまとめてみました。
Photopressoの編集自体楽しかったので、またおいおいテーマに分けてphotobookを作るのもいいかな、と思いました。
写真も撮ったりするので、写真集も作りたいです。
作品集はとりあえず３部作りました。
個人用、ギャラリーなどでお見せする用、どこかで置かせてもらう用です。
また皆様の目に留まるといいなと思います。

A/Journal is a Academy of Art University (AAU) alumni free paper and they come out seasonal. I was invited to on the page last year, and now it is out! Winter 2011 edition
