FA 499 2nd soft pastel painting, eland

I was still struggling what my teacher means to do with this soft pastel.

Now I am practicing painting oil pastel. I was little worried to get started, because it is like oil paint, I thought there was no way to go back with mistake. But once getting started, actually oil pastel is less messy and blend well with other colors. No need to use fixative or clean dust powder of the soft pastel.

lesser panda Pastel

Here I did the first pastel painting of lesser panda from Tennoji zoo, Osaka.

It has been very hard for me to get the technique than I thought.
